The firm works primarily in the areas of workers’ compensation, all areas of personal injury, family law and general litigation. The firm prides itself on friendly responsive communications with clients, thorough preparation, aggressive representation, and the ability to provide quality legal services at an affordable price.

Scott Toussaint originally started his law practice in Greenville, South Carolina after serving as a law clerk for a South Carolina Circuit Court Judge. However, after September 11, 2001, he was forced to close his practice when he was deployed with the South Carolina Army National Guard for a year in support of Operation Noble Eagle. Upon his return from active duty he relocated to Seneca and reopened the Toussaint Law Firm.

I have worked in the legal field since 1999 building years of experience in family law, workers’ compensation and various types of criminal and civil litigation.

I joined the Toussaint Law Firm in 2003.  I enjoy the opportunity to further my knowledge through continuing legal education seminars and through memberships with Administrative Professional Today as well as involvement with the Program on Negotiation through Harvard Law School.

I am from Walhalla and have worked as a Paralegal for 5 years. I joined Toussaint Law Firm in 2008. I received my paralegal certificate from Kaplan University and work mainly on family law cases. In order to further my education, I attended Family Law A to Z this past year.


At Toussaint Law Firm we believe close attorney-paralegal-client interaction is important to help solve every client's problems. We work with clients to make them comfortable during a difficult situation, whether it is divorce or custody issues, struggles from a work injury, or other troubled legal issues.

K. Scott Toussaint, Attorney

I was born
and raised in Wilmington,
North Carolina. Upon graduation from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington as a Distinguished Military Graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, I entered the US Army as an Infantry Officer. I graduated from Airborne School and Ranger School and led a light infantry rifle platoon around the world for three years.

I obtained my law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1993. I have practiced in the areas of workers’ compensation, family law, social security criminal defense and civil litigation throughout my career. I gained a lot of experience as a Clerk for a Circuit Court Judge where I saw the inner workings of the Court system.

I am a member of the following legal organizations:

I was born and raised in the Midwest. I worked in politics in Michigan for 10 years, including the Office of the Governor and positions in the state legislature.

I left politics to enter law school where I earned my degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2006. I have practiced in Estate Planning, Probate, Real Estate, Business Formation, Family Law and Special Needs Law.
